North Liberty Can Center is a modern redemption facility accepting aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and glass containers sold in Iowa with an Iowa refund stamp.
We serve both individual customers and commercial clients with fast, consistent payouts using an efficient redemption process.
Important
Containers must be clean and dry. Separate by material type before arrival. Bags containing trash or hazardous materials will be refused.
On-site payment
Receive payment of 5 cents per eligible Iowa refund stamp container.
Boxes required for glass
Bring glass in its original containers or sturdy cardboard boxes. Lay bottles flat to prevent breakage.
Simple, transparent, and efficient system
Sort by material
Separate clean/dry containers into cans, plastic bottles, and glass. Must have Iowa refund stamp.
Bring to center
Drop off during business hours. Use our bags for cans and plastics, bring your original boxes for glass bottles.
Get paid
Receive payment using our standardized bag system. We offer cash or Venmo options. It's fast, simple, and fair.

Pricing shown is for example only. Bag quantities are standardized to ensure consistent, fair payouts for every customer.
Glass bottles
All glass bottles need to be brought to the center in sturdy cardboard containers. Original cardboard containers are preferred. All other glass bottles lay flat in a sturdy cardboard box. For everyone’s safety glass bottles in a plastic bag will not be accepted.
After-Hours Drop-Off
One tag for each bag
Include:
- Name
- Venmo Username (@username)
- Phone Number
- Bag Number (Example: 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3)
Drop-Off tips
- Secure a completed tag to each bag.
- Place each tagged bag through the chute.
Important
- Do not leave bags outside the trailer.
- No glass or trash.
How you get paid
We will count and process your bags within 1–5 business days. Payment will be sent through Venmo.
